With National Self Care Day just around the corner on July 24th, it's the perfect time to celebrate the art of taking care of ourselves. In this fast-paced world, we need to carve out time for relaxation, pampering, and rejuvenation. We have been trained to be overly ambitious, have side hustles, work, work, work. When was the last time you took care of yourself and just slooowed down?

Self care for each person will look different, some spend times with friends and go for a run, while others would rather just be left alone to binge Netflix all day. You need to listen to your body and decide whats best for YOU!

Tech free time is the best, log off your phone silly! Step outside and connect with yourself by going on a walk, the fresh air will work wonders on your mind and nervous system. When the body needs more movement we highly recommend taking a Yoga or Pilates class. This is designated time for you to sign off your phone and listen to your body’s needs without the world distracting you. Browse Yoga by Adriene on Youtube and her Love yo’ self playlist is one of many playlists she has to reconnect with yourself. Another great channel to check out is bohobeautiful.

Who doesn't love a good at home spa day? There's nothing like a good facemask to indulge in a little self-pampering. Try our personal favorite, the Rare Earth Deep Pore Minimizing Clay Mask from Kiehl's. It works wonders by removing dead skin and minimizing pores! Following the clay mask we crave a cooling sensation and depuff using either Guasha or my favorite ice roller. By massaging your face can untighten your jaw and clear out gunk from your sinuses! The worst is when you have chapped lips, remember to pamper them as well with our lip mask.

Sometimes skincare isn’t enough and we need full body relaxation. Light your favorite candle and draw a hot bath We can't get enough of the Martini - Emotional Detox Bath Salt for stress relief and relaxation. Add Eucalyptus to your shower by tying the stems together and hanging them upside down on your shower head. The steam from your hot showers will activate the oils in the plant and make your shower smell like a spa! A perfect way to pamper yourself. If you have the time treat yourself to massages, acupuncture, or some relaxation in an infrared sauna.

Another great outlet is feeding your brain by reading or journaling. Journaling can hold you accountable when setting up goals and new routines such as exercise. We highly recommend finding a journal with prompts for you to answer!

Remember, self-care isn't just a luxury; it's a necessity for your overall well-being. Take the time to explore what activities and products resonate with you and make them a regular part of your routine. You deserve to glow, both inside and out!

So, mark your calendar for National Self Care Day and make it a celebration of you! Embrace the art of self-care and let your worries fade away as you embark on a journey of relaxation and rejuvenation. Because remember, self-care is not selfish; it's a beautiful act of self-love!

Happy National Self Care Day! 💖
